2020 Tata Nexon EV: The First Tata’s Electric Vehicle from the company and its first Electric SUV as well

The Tata Nexon EV is set to be launched in India in the weeks. It is the electric vehicle from the company and Its electric SUV as well. Expected to be costly in India between $ 15 lakh and $17 lakh (ex-showroom) the new Tata Nexon EV will even Be the initial electric car to use the newest Ziptron powertrain technology. Upon launching, the Nexon EV will soon be provided in three versions – XZ + XM, XZ + LUX, and here We’ve listed down all the features each of These variants will offer, in detail.

This will be the second electric vehicle from India’s own automobile brand after Tigor EV, which was launched quite back.

This is going to be the first-ever electric SUV which will be having Ziptron technology, which ensures the model to charge through a conventional 15A socket and a fast charger as well.

This will allow the owners of the Nexon EV to easily charge the car at home with minimal efforts.

Many car manufacturers present in India are already heading to launch electric vehicles, this model could prove to be beneficial for the brand to rage down the competition, as it’s rival Maruti Suzuki is yet to launch its first electric car on the stage.

According to sources, Tata Motors hasn’t revealed the specific launch date yet, but it is expected to hit the showrooms sometime in early 2020.

Tata Nexon EV XM

This might be this Tata Nexon EV’s entry-level variant, but the car is quite well-equipped compared to the XM variant of this Nexon. As an example, the car comes with attributes such as LED DRLs projector headlamps, front fog lamps, roof antenna, and wiper washer. The cabin includes fully automatic climate control, attached keyless entry with button launch car app, all four power windows, an electric tailgate, and a pair of the steel wheel rim. Other characteristics include AC vents, electrically adjustable ORVMs, rear and tilt-adjustable steering. On the safety front, the Tata Nexon EV offers dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and cornering stability control, together with seatbelt reminder (driver & co-driver) central locking, speed sensing lock, and ISOFIX seat mounts. All Nexon EV variants include automatic transmission with game and drive mode.

Tata Nexon EV XZ+

Along with the features provided with all the XM trimming, the XZ+ gives the choice of contrast roof color, new alloy wheels, and fog lamps with cornering ability. The cottage, on the other hand, gets add-ons like – a 7-inch dashtop touchscreen infotainment system from Harman with 4 tweeters and 4 speakers, smartphone-based navigation playback, voice command, along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel along with a rear parking camera using park assist. Tata supplies a wearable smart secret that is fancied together with the auto.

Tata Nexon EV XZ+ LUX

Over and over the features offered with the XZ+ Trimming, the XZ+ LUX or Luxury variant comes with ambient and tube detection with a whole lot of premium additions like – automatic rain-sensing wipers, premium leather upholstery, an electric sunroof, and automatic headlamps.

A kWh battery that was 30.2 powers the Tata Nexon EV Offering a maximum range of over 300 km on a single charge. The new Electric powertrain from the Nexon EV sets out 245 Nm of peak torque, Sufficient to go from 0-100kmph in 9.9 minutes. The battery can be charged Up to 80per cent in 60 mins using a charger that is quick while it is going to take 8 hours to do the exact same using a house charger.
