Benelli Imperiale 400 BS6 from next month- Study

So far, no news of Benelli releasing its BS6-compliant goods in India has been issued. Recent research now says the Benelli Imperiale 400 BS6 will become Benelli’s first BS6 vehicle.

The Benelli Imperiale 400 is in the line-up of the company’s only retro-style motorcycle.

The latest sources tell us that April will see the Benelli Imperiale 400 BS6 enter the showrooms. In terms of looks and features. Benelli’s Royal Enfield Classic 350 competitor will be very much like the BS4 edition. In the engine section. So, some modifications required to conform with the tougher, BS6 emission requirements.

The Benelli Imperiale 400 was introduced for INR 1.69 lakh* in India in October 2019. And received a very encouraging public response. So, it is the only retro-style motorcycle available in the company’s line-up of products. It features a round halogen headlight, semi-digital instrument cluster with twin-pods. As well as upright riding position spilled seats, spoke wheels, etc.

The Imperiale 400 suspension system consists of stock 41 mm telescopic forks at the front. And preload-adjustable twin springs at the rear. So, the braking duties performed by a 300 mm front disk with a two-piston floating caliper. And a 240 mm disk with a single-piston calliper at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is also helping.

The old Benelli Imperiale 400 powered by a single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled, BS4-compliant 373.5 cc SOHC engine with electronic fuel injection. This engine produces a maximum power of 21 PS at 5,500 rpm, and a peak torque of 29 Nm at 4,500 rpm. This mated to a gearbox with 5 speeds. So, we are anticipating small power and torque output improvements to be made in the BS6 series.

Benelli’s first BS6-compliant motorcycle in India will be the Imperiale 400 BS6.

Early last month, the Benelli Imperiale 400 got its first price hike. The company said due to the rising material costs, it had to take that measure. Now the retro bike is retailing at INR 1.79 lakh*. A price hike expected to occur once again next month as the BS6 update announced.
