Benelli Leoncino 250:Truely a racing champion

Benelli, one of the oldest Italian motorcycle manufacturers since 1911. The roots of the company can be found deep inside Pesaro, Italy when Benelli was just a part garage, which repaired bicycles and motorcycles and parallelly were producing all the spare which was useful in repair. With much hard work and passion, finally the company launched its first motorcycle, which comprises of their own engine of 98cc. In the late period of world war II, the Benelli company finally rolled out its first four-cylinder supercharged 250cc racing bike. The company was also an undisputed racing champion in its early stages; making it quite popular amongst the racers as well as masses.

In recent times, Benelli India announced the launch of much anticipated retro-styled motorcycle, the Benelli Leoncino 250. It is reported to be a rebranded version of Leoncino 500 considering it a smaller sibling in it’s family. While the pre-booking has already started with a token amount of 6000 rupees which is fully refundable, the model 250 is expected to hit the market very soon. Leoncino 250 will be available in 4 color variants namely white, grey, Red and brown.

The New Benelli Leoncino 250 is power-packed by a 294cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine, supporting a liquid-cooled system along with an electronic fuel injection system with a 37mm throttle body. The engine is tuned to perform at 9,250 RPM and developing a peak torque of 21NM at 8,000 rpm. The engine is capable of delivering a maximum of 25.4 braking horsepower which is combined with a 6-speed gearbox.
Talking about the exteriors, the latest model is carved out of steel tube trellis frame, with a blacked-out engine and radiator. The new advanced shockers give extreme comfort to the biker even in extreme driving conditions, thanks to the new 41mm upside-down front fork and an adjustable mono-shock at the back. The braking compartment houses a 280mm floating disc with a four-piston caliper at the front and a 240mm disc with a single floating caliper at the back, equipped with dual-channel ABS. The price of Leoncino 250 is expected to be 2,50,000( ex. showroom), with an estimated on-road price of 2,70,000 rupees. The Leoncino is truly a style statement.
