More BMW 3-Series plug-in hybrid to choose from.
BMW announced a significant expansion of the 3-Series from one to four plug-in hybrid models, as the Touring version would replace the Sedan. For a fact, both the rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models will be available.
We knew that since 2019 the Touring PHEV was coming but the all-wheel-drive range is a positive surprise.

The Traditional Ones:
The BMW 330e Touring plug-in hybrid is exactly the same as the traditional ones. So, with only a marginally reduced capacity of the luggage compartment.
BMW announced that all the 330e would earn the allowable towing capacity of 1,500 kg (3306 lbs) as of summer 2020.
On the technical side, both 330e is fitted with the same battery pack (12.0 kWh) and powertrain, apart from the xDrive variant, which allows the front wheels an extra mechanical contact.
So, the electric motor between the front and rear wheels as needed at all times via. Through an electronically controlled multidisk clutch. Networked with DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) the system adapts the drive torque distribution exactly within a fraction of a second to the respective driving situation.

From standstill to 100 km /h and achieves a top speed of 224 km / h (provisional figures).
The updated BMW 330e xDrive Touring completes the regular sprint with a maximum speed of 214 km / h in 6.2 seconds.
