Captain America celebrity Chris Evans has said he won’t reprise his role as the Marvel superhero, after formerly hinting that he could be forced to perform the character again, given the right circumstances. At a recent appearance on the Graham Norton Show,” Evans reported that he’d had a”good run” and returning to the MCU could be”insecure.”
Asked when his stint as Captain America was over for good, he said, “Yes, I think it is. It was a great run, and we went out on such a high note that it could be risky to revisit it in my opinion. It was such a fantastic experience, and I think it’s better left that way.” Evans started playing a role in 2011, with Captain America: together with, The First reasoned his run 2019, and Avengers Avengers: Endgame.
Previously, the celebrity had implied he could return in the right circumstances, because of the character. “You never say never. I love the character. I don’t understand,” he’d said in a chat with his MCU co-star Scarlett Johansson. He’d added, “It’s not a hard no, but it isn’t an eager yes. There are things that I’m working on now. I believe Cap had a musical act to stick the landing, and that I think they did a very wonderful job. It can not be a money grab if you are going to revisit it. It can’t be because the audience wishes to be enthused. What are we revealing? What exactly are we adding to the story? A lot of things would have to come together. “It does not feel, right now, that would be something.”
Evans reported that it could be”pity to sour” what they had attained with the conclusion of Steve Rogers’ arc. “I’m very protective of it. It was a moment, and jumping onto the movie was a prospect for me personally. I said no a bunch of times, and there is a million, and one means it might have gone wrong. It almost feels like perhaps we should let this one sit,” he had said.
