DS Aero Sport Lounge is a bold, 671 horsepower electric SUV

DS Automobiles had a strong start of the week with the unveiling of its flagship model DS 9 and with the introduction of the Aero Sports Lounge. It is now doubling down on its Geneva reveals. While the luxury sedan is going to go into production. This radically styled coupe-SUV mashup is just a concept signaling EV ambitions of the brand.

As the concept measures five meters (196.8 inches) in length. The vehicle demands your attention not only because of its sleek design but also because of its sheer size.

Sitting on massive 23-inch wheels featuring an intricately optimized aerodynamic design. The DS Aero Sports Lounge has a heavily sloped roofline to give a swoopy coupe feel.

The traditional grille that you will find on a car powered by a combustion engine has been replaced with a screen that lights up around the prominent DS Automobiles logo. Just so you know for sure what you are looking at. Sleek headlights that benefit from LED matrix technology further contribute to the avant-garde look of the concept.

An electric motor that develops a whopping 671 horsepower to allow a 0 to 62 mph (100 km / h). With sprint time in just 2.8 seconds provides the motivation for the polarizing SUV. The electric motor feeds on a large 110-kWh battery mounted on the floor with enough juice for an impressive range of over 650 kilometers (404 miles).

While images of the concept’s cabin are not available at the time of writing. DS Automobiles says it has “reinvented the interior to create a travel machine.” The company goes on to mention that there are screens hooked up to the outside cameras to replace the conventional side mirrors. Additional displays are available for each occupant.
