Everything We Know About The Batman

It appears DC fans could be introduced to a new Joker from the future. Whether that is something worth getting excited about depends on the individual perspective of one. Whatever the case, a new rumor suggests that Matt Reeves’ planned The Batman trilogy will probably be bringing another variant of the Clown Prince of Crime to the fold to match wits with Robert Pattinson’s Caped Crusader.

For the time being, we must caution that this is merely a rumor and ought to be regarded as such until a further confirmation is supplied. Nevertheless, according to another report, Matt Reeves, who’s directing and writing The Batman, intends to present a new Joker in the trilogy. While Warner Bros. has not officially handed the green light to any sequels, however, it had been previously reported that Reeves had strategies for a three-movie arc, and Robert Pattinson signed a multi-picture thing. Assuming the initial entry is powerful, a sequel is all but ensured at this point. That would pave the way for a new Joker to enter the fold.

No details were provided, but it’s stated that Joker would be referenced from The Batman, establishing looks by the personality in the second and third movies. It is also said that casting for the job has not yet begun. It’s worth mentioning that the forthcoming film won’t occur from the already established DC Extended Universe (DCEU) alongside Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. This will create a new version of Gotham City and will take place.

If this proves true, it might represent the third new form of the iconic DC villain on the big screen in less than a decade. Jared Leto had the unenviable task of following Heath Ledger’s Joker out of The Dark Knight in 2016’s Suicide Squad. Leto’s version wasn’t allowed a lot of screen time and was met with a reaction. Leto has to reprise the job, and there are no such programs that have been revealed for that to happen. More lately, Joaquin Phoenix played a role in director Todd Phillips’ Joker, which was published last year and grossed over $1 billion at the box office. Phoenix also won an Oscar for his performance. Cameron Monaghan also played a version of the villain on Fox’s Gotham.

Batman will feature multiple villains, such as Penguin, Carmine Falcone, Catwoman, and Riddler. Rumors also surfaced lately that Bane, who last appeared in The Dark Knight Rises, might be brought in for the sequel as well. Production is looking to pick up following the shutdown, which went into effect in mid-March. At the moment, the film is set to hit theatres on October 1, 2021. We will be sure to keep you posted as any additional details are made available. This news comes to us via The Direct.
