As we can see the growing demands for a performance utility vehicle at both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. In North America, people often look for massive V8 trucks and SUVs. But because of the narrow roads in Europe dictate a different trend. On the other hand customers on the old continent prefer small and more efficient performance crossovers.
Ford attempt to capitalize on the increasing demand known as Puma ST. Based on the all-new Puma, the sporty tune crossover hatchback mashup spied several times.
Renderings Of Ford Puma ST:
If you have seen the car from the virtual drawings in the gallery look familiar to you. It is because it almost looks similar to what the Puma ST-Line looks like. The front fascia reworks for a more aggressive appearance and also small fender extension for better aerodynamics. This will be a set of unique asymmetrical wheels completes the design changes.
However, the engine under the hood did not confirm yet but we believe that the Fiesta-based crossover will get the Fiesta ST’s 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder unit. The mill produces 198 horsepower and with 213 pound-feet of twist. So if the output numbers are similar in the Puma ST, they should be enough for a sprint of about 62 miles per hour. Power must reach exclusively for the front wheel through a short-shift six-speed manual gearbox.
Ford has zero plans to bring the Puma or Puma ST to the market. Customers in Europe expect the sale to start before the year-ends. As the official teaser is out.
