The Genesis G70 is another super luxury sedan from a clean new automotive logo that can compete with such names as BMW, Audi, and Mercedes. Genesis as a logo has succeeded in a market segment that’s been shrinking for the past several years. Sedans aren’t what human beings buy, and yet while a Sedan is purchased, it’s usually a Genesis.
G70 relies upon on which package deal deciding to choose, but even the base-degree 2.0-L turbo G70 comes with a ton of accessible functions.
Moving up to 3.3-L twin-turbo engine or the Elite package adds rain-sensing wipers, electricity folding auto-dimming side mirrors, heated/vented front leather seats, power telescoping steerage wheel, a sunroof, and a 15-speaker Lexicon audio system.
Moving as much as the 2.0T Dynamic or 3.3T Elite bundle gives the G70 a heads-up display, wireless charging pad, surround-view monitor, microsuede headliner, and larger 19-inch alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
The Sport bundle adds grey cross-stitching, alloy pedals, and fancy exterior and indoor accents.
All these features are outstanding, however meaningless if the car doesn’t look right. Luckily, Genesis controlled to snag a former Audi design chief to create the G70, which sort of explains a lot. The interior of the G70 is plush and contemporary with features that appear somewhat modelled after an Audi A4 or RS7.
The significant part of the Genesis G70 is the price. Starting at $34,900 for a 2.0-L turbo, 8-speed automatic, RWD sedan, the G70 beats the entirety else in its price variety in terms of well-known capabilities and power. It nearly verges on the aspect of a greater affordable circle of relatives sedans. To push the G70 over $50,000, you’d need to opt for the 3.3-L twin-faster V6 version with AWD and the Sport package, which comes with everything.
The most striking aspect running in opposition to the Genesis G70 is the electricity of the logo. When entering the arena of luxurious, names can carry more weight–and therefore a higher price–than something else.
The G70 is simply one step on their road to greatness.
