Heart Breaking News From Garry Rogers Motorsport: Rumored To Exit Supercars Championship At End of 2019 Season

One of the most eminent brands in the Supercars championship, Garry Roger Motorsport, is an Australian Motor racing team competing in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship as well as Dunlop Super 2 series. The team is currently owned and named after the retired racing driver Garry Roger who himself laid the foundation stone of his own company on this own efforts.

The team has been a part of a variety of touring car series ranging from Nissan production cars to Chevrolet NASCARs. The team has brought many laurels, Name and fame by winning many competitive racing events including Bathurst 1000 which was held in 2000. Later the team also won Bathurst 24 Hour races which were held in 2002 and 2003. The team celebrated its 50th year anniversary in racing since Roger made its official debut in the world of racing.

It was the year 1978 when Rogers moved into the Australian Touring Car championship. It was in the year 1996 when Garry Roger motorsport joined the Australian Touring Car Championship, with Richard driving a Holden VS sourced from Gibson Motorsport. The year 2000 season remained the team’s most successful years for the team till now.

Now talking about the current situation of Garry Roger Motorsports, it has been quite complicated these days regarding the major sponsorship which has let the company to a final ultimatum to bid a final farewell to the Bathurst weekend championship in the upcoming future events. According to major reports, the roger said that he did approach many supercars regarding an extension to the entry deadline in order to rescue his program but all these efforts and requests were turned down by them.

Garry rogers still confirmed in his interview that the company will still continue to operate and will be majorly focusing on its TCR as well as S5000 programs. The fan club of the Garry Roger motorsports might not be able to see their favorite club competing in the upcoming race events in the coming years.
