Dead To Me is a dark, tragic comedy web TV series. Till now, 2 seasons have been aired by Netflix.
Both seasons have 10 episodes each. The length of each episode ranges between 26 minutes to 34 minutes. The show premiered on 3rd May 2019 and the 2nd season was released on 8th May 2020.
Rotten Tomatoes has given 86% rating to the first season however, the second season got 96% rating. The exciting twists and turns make this show unmissable.
Cast
Season 2 of Dead to me consists of the original duo Christina Applegate (Jen Harding) and Linda Cardellini (Judy Hate) which was necessary as the entire show revolves around their story. Moreover, Natalie Morales was an add-on for the recurring role of Michelle. Max Jenkins and Luke Roessler returned with their respective roles and James Marsden and Ed Asner was also included in starring roles.
Plot
The plot showcases two grieving women who connect over therapy sessions and become great friends. The entire premise lies in the strong bond that the two women share. Both of them are opposites and deal with grief differently as Judy is an optimist while Jen finds herself in a bad place. However, these differences due not keep them apart but strengthen their bond.
The second season involves the reconciliation of Jen and Judy after Jen got to know about the camera that caught Steve coming into her house. Jen kicked Judy out of the house as she was furious at Judy for deceiving her. In the end, Judy misinterprets that Jen had killed Steve out of self-defense due to which they reunite. But the truth is nowhere near because Jen murdered Steve out of extreme fury. Thus, the two women will have to conceal Steve’s death to keep Jen out of jail.
However, the complications don’t end here as the introduction of new characters in their lives will create unprecedented hardships. Some of the new characters include Steve’s twin brother Ben, Judy’s girlfriend Michelle, and her mother. During the conclusion of the first season, we feel that the only way Judy and Jen could get out of this mess was by telling the truth. This was about to happen when a spine chilling revelation prohibits them from sorting their life out.
