Kia is introducing new £ 21k mid-range model Edition to XCeed lineup

The new edition is based on the car, but it includes graphic improvements and more equipment.

Kia has announced the launch of its Ceed-based Xceed compact SUV’s latest mid-range iteration, simply called the Edition. Sitting in the range above the base-spec ‘2’ edition. So, the Edition includes a variety of visual enhancements, plus a host of other goodies.

The Edition is about £ 200 more expensive than the entry-level ‘2’. With costs beginning at £ 20.995, but it replaces the 2’s 16-inch alloy wheels with wider 18-inch alloys. As well as adding rear privacy glass and electrically locking and flexible heated door mirrors. The supplier in South Korea also offers consumers three free-of-charge luxury metallic color colors. It called ‘Blue Fire,’ ‘Quantum Yellow’ and ‘Lunar Gold.’

The Edition comes with imitation leather upholstery inside. However, as well as all of the regular features of the ‘2’ edition. This ensures the price tag covers air conditioning, cruise control. And an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment interface. It is also a rotating mirror. As well as mobile application mechanisms with the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The Version also boasts some of the exterior features of the ‘2’ series. Including silver-colored roof bars, LED headlights and a body-colored rear spoiler. And there are several driver assistance programs. Including lane-keeping assistance and a driver’s attention alert system. To help drivers stay safe on the road. It also requires automatic emergency braking to lock on the brakes. So, if the vehicle detects an imminent collision.

Nevertheless, unlike the standard ‘2’ edition, the Edition only comes with one engine. It is a 1-liter petrol engine, turbocharged to produce 118 bhp. Twinned with a six-speed manual gearbox. The engine will produce just over 44 mpg on the new economy. And pollution check, as the car pumps 145 g of carbon dioxide per kilometer it drives.

But those who yearn for success that wants to look elsewhere as the top speed of the Xceed Edition is 115 mph. And the run from a standstill to 62 mph takes 10.9 seconds for an equally nondescript.
