Know Latest Fact About Did Audi Car discontinue RS6 Model?

“Throughout our 25-year R.S. history, the Audi RS6 Avant has been one of our complete icons with a large global fan base,” says Oliver Hoffmann, Managing Director of Audi Sport GmbH. In doing so, we will be tapping into a new market with huge potential and generating further global growth.”

The sedan RS6 was discontinued for the last generation, and most likely due to the new RS7 that just enjoyed its world debut in Germany. That leaves only the RS6 Avant model available, and we’ll finally be able to buy and drive them in the U.S.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • Performance-oriented car with excellent driving dynamics
  • All-wheel drive offers better handling even in tricky driving conditions

Cons:

  • Stiff ride quality
  • Steering feedback could have been better

Engine and Performance:

Audi’s new 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with mild-hybrid assist producing 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Audi is claiming it’ll propel the RS6 Avant to 0-62 mph in just 3.6 seconds.

The Audi RS6 Avant measures 4,979 mm in length, 1,936 mm in width, 1,461 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,915 mm.

The R.S. 6 has been forbidden fruit in the U.S. until now. With a mild-hybrid powertrain, 591 horsepower sent to all four wheels, and 20 cubic feet of cargo space, the high-performance wagon is the ultimate family vehicle for those who need to get there quickly style.

Performance should be bewildering. Audi reproduces a 0-62 mph sprint of 3.5 seconds and a 0-124 mph run of 12 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph, but an optional carbon-ceramic brake package ups that to 190 mph.

The first and second Make of the RS6 was offered in both Avant and saloon forms. The third and fourth generations are only provided as an Avant.

I was hoping you could note that maintenance is somewhat expensive out of warranty, but the RS6 is pretty much reliable; my RS6 developed a lousy torque converter three months ago at 52,000 miles, and it cost over $6,000 to replace.

This comes in at an established price of $108,000, which is likely to be higher or similarly priced to the 2020 RS6 Avant.
