Lost in Space is an American series based in an elderly 1965 series of the same name.
Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless write the series. The first season of this series premiered on Netflix in April 2018. This was followed by a second season, which came out in March of 2020. The new season has just wrapped up, and fans are eagerly awaiting the next season. For fans, there’s good news and bad news.
Fortunately, a third-year has been formally declared. The show was renewed for a third season in March 2020. On the other hand, the bad news is that this year will be the last season for the series.
The series revolves around the escapades of the Robinson family, who have been chosen for a mission from the colonist group on the Resolute. The latter is the title of the spacecraft they are supposed to finish the assignment on. Their task is to purge the celebrity system named Alpha Centauri.
But things are complicated when they encounter an alien robot who hurts the spacecraft, forcing them to flee. They, along with other colonists land on a strange but habitable planet. From here, they have to devise a plan to escape and find their way back into the spacecraft. Family drama resurfaces as they struggle for their existence.
Cast
The release date for the third season has not been announced yet. However, since the gap between the first and the second season was considerable, we can expect that the series will not premiere its new year anytime soon.
Season 3 might also contain ten episodes, just like the first two seasons. Production has been placed on hold, maintaining the Covid-19 pandemic in mind.
The cast for the show will more or less remain the same. We can anticipate all the Robinsons to reprise their respective roles.
Release Date
Lost In Space is thought to be on the streaming website by 2021. Though this sounds unlikely in the current circumstance of coronavirus pandemic, the show might take more time to be filmed since the whole world follows a social distancing protocol.
While all this unhappy, more saddening is that this is the final season of this series and the filming of which has been stopped also.
Plot
In space lives, a family and they appear inseparable. It affects in due time as the show portrays their separation. We anticipate this separation to be dealt with in year three and watch the family.
