Mercedes EQS Claims a 435 Mile Range, Could Beat the Tesla Champ Model S?

The Mercedes has set an eye on Tesla, and it’s looking to offer the electric car manufacturer a tough competition with its under-development, Mercedes EQS, an electric S class sized sedan.

The Mercedes has teased the under development electric sedan and has claimed 700 kilometers/435 miles. If the EQS achieves the goals, it will leave behind the highest electric vehicle range, which has been set by Tesla Model S, which is a freaking 402-mile rating tested by Environmental Protection Agency in 2020.

The upcoming Mercedes EQS will have a 100kWh lithium-ion battery pack that powers a pair of electric motors, one on each axle. The output is hinted to be around 560 pound-feet of torque and will perform a sub-4.5-second sprint to 60 mph. Even if the EQS reaches near to the 400-mile mark, it will outpace many other rivals.

For now, electric-Hyundai Kona has a range of 279 miles, while Jaguar I-Pace can cover up to 292 miles of range. The Mercedes EQS vision 2019, put out the amazing luxury electric sedan, and we can see one in the market from the end of 2020.
