Made by David Fresco, the zombie horror-comedy collection, Santa Clarita Diet of Netflix, is a spin on this genre. The show follows Sheila and Joel Hammond, a married couple that is real estate agents from Santa Clarita. Because of some unexpected events, Sheila (Drew Barrymore) turns into an undead zombie and must stay off human flesh. With the support of her husband Joel (Timothy Olyphant), Sheila begins killing humans to live, all of the while adapting to the zombie lifestyle, hiding the key, and figuring out the mystery behind everything.
