SsangYong Teased Korando E100, Electric Crossover Renderings, eXUV300 Could be Next?

The company teased SsangYong E100 electric vehicles on its social media sites. It could also hint towards Mahindra XUV300 electrical to be next in the line.

SsangYong is the 4th largest South Korean based auto manufacturer owned by Indian multinational automotive car company Mahindra & Mahindra Limited. The E100, which was teased by the company, through official renderings that looked similar to the ICE-based SsangYong Korando. All we saw was the first look in the renderings.

The grille also appears to have a different design and features SsangYong’s Korean market logo. SsangYong says the front hood is made of aluminum to save weight and optimize the center of gravity. The automaker adds that the closed-off grilles are meant to maximize energy efficiency.

The project that is under development is electric-based Korando E100 and could launch with a single electric motor. This could power the subcompact crossover with 188 HP (191 PS / 140 kW). Till it is expected to be a 2WD and will fit a 61.5kW battery pack, that will be supplied by LG Chem. The upcoming crossover SUV could deliver a range of close to 200 miles/320 km.

The Ssangyong is owned by Indian multinational automotive company Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, and the same teased their eXUV300 at the Auto Expo 2020. The teasing of the Korando E100 could mean that Mahindra could soon announce its electric crossover as well.
