Spider-Man 3 (2007) among the 3 villains. But, Sony has brought a separate setup for the comic character. However, this time, Sony has given the superhero a very different backstory.
He works as an independent journalist. While investigating the experiments of individual trials, he inadvertently gets infected with the alien symbiote.
Having an IMDb score 6.7/10 and the Tomatometer at 29 percent, the movie failed to make it large concerning audience and critics. It made a group of 85.61 crores in the global box office. The movie was not received well by the audience and has been marred by poor reviews. And now, the folks are eagerly awaiting the sequel.
Release Date
The sequel was supported right back in 2018 when the prequel was released. However, Sony has made NO official statement regarding the release date of Venom 2. The movie was originally supposed to release in October 2020. On the other hand, the coronavirus pandemic has stopped every major production. This has delayed the film by almost a year. Venom: Let There Be Carnage will now release on July 25, 2021
Plot
After taking down Riot from the first installment, Eddie needed to forfeit Venom. But, that wasn’t true as Venom was alive and a part of Eddie. Eddie has finally got his job back as an independent journalist.
On the other hand, the post-credit scene shown Venom’s new opponent in the kind of Carnage/Cletus Kassidy. After Riot in part 1, we can observe a dangerous quantity of action between Venom and Carnage in the second part. However, the cast and the team have been tightly lipped regarding the plot details of Venom 2.

Just like Venom, Carnage is a fictional superhero in the Marvel Cinematic and Comic universe. He’s known as a recurring character known to appear in several Marvel comics through time. Carnage was a serial killer from the name of Cletus Kassidy. But he battled with Venom’s offspring during a prison breakout. The symbiote amplified his psychotic nature which makes him even less emotionally stable than he was formerly, and so much more dangerous.
