Violet Evergarden takes place in an age of Auto Memory Dolls employed by Dr Orland to help his visually impaired wife to write her novels. A soldier named Violet Evergarden loses her hands in a war and is given prosthetic arms. After the war, as Violet struggles to fit in the way of society, she becomes a ghost-writer in hopes of understanding the last words of Gilbert.
