2020 British And Australian Grand Prix Gets Cancelled

The cancellation of the Australian and British Grand Prix came from the FIM and IRTA. According to news reports and announcements, due to the ongoing Corona Crisis, they were left with no choice than to cancel the events. Here, we shall acknowledge, that the British Grand Prix was to be held from 28th to 30th of August at the Silverstone Circuit. It is the venue that holds the event since 1977, the first Grand Prix. MotoGP came here again after ten years. It will be a sad thing for MotoGP to not see any races on British Isle for the first time in Championships here for more than 70 years.

Talking about the Australian Grand Prix, it got the legendary Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit as the host. And it was to be held from 23rd to 25th October. It was in 1989 and then 1997, that this track first held the Australian Grand Prix. It is known for providing the best layouts to the most epic battle seen on two wheels. We heard from Stuart Pringle, the Managing Director from Silverstone about the recent cancellation. He mentioned that the cancellation in 2018 is a recent memory and this further weakens the history. But he also said that recent times needed exceptional decisions to be taken.

He calls upon British fans for their support and patience in the time. They need to look for upcoming events of Silverstone, another fastest and historic events of all times.
