2021 Fiat Strada Launch As A Tiny Truck For South America

Introduction

It has been a while since we came across the small camouflaged Fiat pickup truck, which was expected to carry the Mobi badge. But surprisingly Fiat has presented it as a production model for South America with the name Strada. Though it looked like weird and boxy in the spied version, it has really come out very stylish with much of the design derived from the company’s larger Toro truck.

Features

Talking about the design, the front end boasts of large FIAT lettering on the radiator grille and elegant headlights with integrated DRLs in a running strip. Although not much is clear about the interior, it is expected to match the current compact models from Fiat in the South American market, that is, the Toro, Argo, and Cronos. What we also came across is that the automaker is planning to continue the previous generation as a more affordable alternative for the customers.

Fiat will offer the new Strada with the same old 1.4-liter petrol engine. A new 1.3 liter more efficient and modern unit is also expected to be launched as an alternative. Both engines will be mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. In the future, the new 1.0 and 1.3-liter turbo engines and a CVT may be introduced by the company.
The pickup is meant for sale in the South American markets only. It will be available for orders in the next month. It is not expected to be sold outside the continent.
