The 992 Porsche 911 Turbo S explains a shock well. Of course, we all know how the Coupe looks due to several reports. While its specifications also expect to pretty accurate (although I was one of the unbelievers who was expecting an all-new engine).
Even so, if the model 2021 is anything like its forebearers. Getting behind the wheel would amaze me, thanks mainly to the flawless balancing of Grand Tourer and supercar power.
The Geneva-at-home affair (think: cancelation caused by Coronavirus) just saw the launch of the Turbo S. With the 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six currently producing 650 hp and 590 lb-ft of twist.
Thanks to a new 8-speed PDK that sends power to all four corners. The 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S Coupe will reach 60 mph in 2.6 seconds, making it 0.1s better than the now-discontinued 991.2 GT2 RS. Well, and if you go to the new Turbo S Convertible, you’ll be on a par with the 2RS 700 hp rear-wheel-drive car.
Drag racing enthusiasts might want to learn that the machine needs 10.5 seconds to complete the quarter-mile mission. Because the Turbo S is renowned for its ability to pull back-to-back launches.
While Autobahn speeders might want to test the top speed of 205 mph-heck, with Porsche’s projections traditionally conservative. We might see even more real-world spicier numbers.
Compared to its predecessor, the 992 Tubo S is 1.8-inch wider up front and 0.7 inches narrower at the back. While its rear wing provides more downforce. And thanks to Porsche’s increasingly finer technologies such as adaptive roll stabilization. This thing should handle corners like they’re not even out there.
As normal, on the Turbo S, the center-lock wheels (20 inches up front and 21 inches down rear) and carbon-ceramic brakes are optional.
However, if you’re not so familiar with the Neunelfer looks, you can tell the Turbo S apart from the Carrera (S) thanks to the twin-strip daytime running lights up front, the air intakes that dominate the rear fenders, the said active wing and the non-Sport Exhaust trapezoidal exhaust tips (this is an option).
