2021 Volvo S90, V90 Debut Subtle Facelift with Mild-Hybrid Design.

The jacked-up V90 Cross Country has also been overhauled.

Although they have been around for quite a few years, the Volvo S90 sedan and the V90 wagons are arguably still some of today’s prettiest vehicles on sale. That’s why we’re happy the Swedes didn’t mess around that much with their mid-size model’s template for today’s facelift debut.

Yes, you’ll be excused not to recognize what has changed because the changes are on a very subtle level.

Specifications:

Modifications to the front fascia feature new fog lights and a slightly different spoiler. Plus a new look for the bumper’s lower area. At the rear, the V90 and V90 Cross Country full-LED taillights come with sequential turn signals. Additionally, Volvo also added fresh paint colors along with a couple of new alloy wheel styles to round off external improvements.

Stepping inside, the 2021 S90 and V90 versions are getting a better Bowers and Wilkins sound system with an upgraded amplifier and the cancelation of car noise. Originally introduced on the Chinese models of the S90 and V90. The air cleaner technology extended to the global version and can clean the air “of almost all tiny particles”. In just a few minutes.

Volvo wishes to point out the cool sound system and the air cleaning software for the smaller “60” models are now also available.

Alternatively, the two devices series have dual USB-C charging points in place of 12-volt ports in the rear. Along with wireless charging for most models. In addition to the “90” and “60” models, the XC90’s customized wool-blend seats have included. With the range-topping model now having a leather-free upholstery.

After the introduction in 2019 of mild-hybrid engineering in the XC90 and XC60 SUVs, Volvo is now extending this to the rest of the “90” and “60” models. The smaller XC40 crossover is also being electrified. With all models featuring a mild-hybrid engine offering up to 15 percent reduction in fuel consumption and emissions.
