The much-loved BMW M2 will be revised over the next couple of years with an all-new production. And these renderings demonstrate how the sports car could look like.
The renderings on Instagram come with the courtesy of zer.o.wt and posted online via BMW Forum. Seeing that the new M2 still some time away from published, it hard to say how this early stage would look like.
These renderings, however, indicate that if BMW’s designers are clever. They can make the next M2 look much better than the outgoing one. Maybe the first thing you’ll note about the pictured BMW M2 is the lack of gargantuan ‘coffin’ kidney grilles. That the current M3 and M4 will be rocking.
We don’t know yet if the new M2 will introduce smaller and more elegant grills but are hoping it does, particularly as the grills of the current M235i Gran Coupe are still big enough.
The made car includes, in addition to the widened kidney grilles, a collection of huge air intakes with carbon fiber shrouds to make a real statement on the lane. This also incorporates a discreet carbon-fiber splitter. As the newly built headlights. No renderings are revealing the sports car’s rear but conventional M-style mirrors and distinctive wheels can be seen.
It believed that the BMW M2 version of the G87 will maintain its rear-wheel-drive design. And will presumably use the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six of the upcoming M3 and M4 that already used for the X3 M and X4 M. Eventually, the M2 will slightly separate and projected to produce about 450 HP.
Especially because the grilles are already wide enough for the new M235i Gran Coupe.
As with the newly built headlights, a discreet carbon-fiber splitter also used. No renderings are revealing the sports car’s back, but typical M-style mirrors and distinctive wheels can be seen.
