Demon Slayer Season 2: Release Date, Cast, Trailer, Plot And New Updates

If you like anime with a kindhearted but determined main character who works hard to reach where he is or if you are into demons, magic, humor, martial arts, and lots of action, then this is the anime for you.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba literally means the blade of Demon Destruction. The anime surely has managed to earn a solid, strong fanbase. Awarded ‘Anime of the year’ in 2020 at Crunchyroll Anime Awards, the show has delivered a unique plot with equally amazing animation. It is based on a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotōge.

The anime follows the story of Tanjiro Kamado, a young, kindhearted boy who sells charcoal to put food on the table for his family after his father passed away. The 1st episode begins with Tanjiro going down to the base of the mountain he lives in to sell charcoal but is unable to return that evening as it gets too late. However, when he returns the next morning, what he sees changes his life. His entire family has been massacred, but his younger sister survives, only she has turned into a demon. Despite this, she shows human emotions, and that reasons enough for Tanjiro to embark on a journey to find a cure for his sister and avenge his family.

After season 1 ended with 26 episodes, the sequel was promised in a Mugen train arc. The movie is set to premiere in Japan on October 16, 2020. Trailer for the same is out for viewers to see.

After the movie, the creators will be focussing on season 2, which will pick up where the movie left off. Considering everything, the 2nd season is expected sometime in 2021.
