The extra-long luxury sedan might look a lot like that.
The next generation of the Mercedes S-Class was tested in both Benz and Maybach. But even the most recent designs seen had a lot of camouflage. Someone has now attempted to digitally strip the mask from Daimler’s stately sedan by considering an all-new S-Class with a double M mark in production shape.
It’s only a hypothetical rendering at the end of the day. But it’s more than just a glimpse in the dark because the production experiment takes place. After the surveillance shots, we’ve seen over the last few months.
In a video posted to YouTube, KKS Studio follows the design process and reveals the new Maybach S-Class with a front grille and a bumper modified from the Maybach GLS.
The full-size premium sedan designed with the new Mercedes headlight concept to mimic what the designs have seen. While the smooth door handles are a dead gift to the next generation S-Class.
The illustration does not try to foresee the rear of the vehicle. But we have a feeling that the W223 would add wider taillights to the trunk lid as seen on several other sedans bearing a three-pointed star, like the newly facelifted E-Class.
As far as the interior is concerned, brace yourself for an insurrection. Spy shots showed a totally redesigned dashboard. With a giant portrait-oriented touchscreen for the MBUX infotainment device. It will more or less occupy the center console. And will integrate nearly all onboard controls. As seeing as actual buttons held to a minimum
The new-look may have angered traditionalists, but the S-Class has always been a technical tour de force, and it seems like the big screen will play a huge part in that.
The Benz-branded S-Class was announced for an official debut later in 2020, but there’s a pretty strong possibility that we’ll have to wait some time for its Maybach equivalent with an even longer wheelbase.
