The Honda City Hybrid will be powered by a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine mated to two electric motors. It produces 97bhp power and 127Nm of peak torque on the petrol engine. An electric motor will be coupled to the petrol engine and will act as an ISG (Integrated Starter Generator). The other will deliver power to the front wheels via a single, fixed-ratio gearbox. Its power and torque outputs are 108bhp and 253Nm respectively.

Czech Republic’s leading automaker Skoda will introduce a new mid-size sedan, codenamed ANB, at the end of 2021. The new model will be based on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB AO IN platform, on which Skoda’s partner company Volkswagen also builds its Taigun mid-size SUV. Reports say that this Skoda car may be named Slavia, the new sedan will be positioned above the Rapid sedan in the company’s portfolio. It will compete directly with Hyundai Verna, Honda City, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.

Talking about the new Skoda Slavia, it can get a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which will generate 113bhp and 175Nm of torque. Talking about transmission options, it will include 6MT and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The top-spec model will get a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 147bhp and 250Nm of torque. It will be mated to a 7-speed DSG.

Except for the Toyota logo and new alloy wheels, the sedan will not see any major changes. It will be powered by the same 1.5-liter 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 104bhp and 138Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque converter automatic.
