Two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha has started preparations to launch its next bike in the Indian auto market. The company will launch its new bike Yamaha FZ-X in the Indian market on 18 June 2021 i.e. next week. However, the company has not shared any information about the bike yet. The company has only mentioned the possible tagline of the upcoming two-wheeler ‘Ride Free’. The photos of this new bike were taken a few weeks ago during the shooting of a TV commercial near the Atal Tunnel.
The New Bike Will Have A 149Cc Single Cylinder Engine
Most of its details are known from the photos of the Yamaha bike. This new model is based on the neo-retro design language. At the front, there is an LED projector headlamp, which looks like the MT-15. Along with this, the bike gets circular split styled LED DRLs, which look good in the dark. The new Yamaha FZ-X is powered by a 149cc single cylinder air-cooled engine. It will give a power output of 12.2 horsepower. Smartphone Bluetooth connectivity can also be given in the bike.
Yamaha FZS-FI Will Get You More
The upcoming new Yamaha FZ-X will be 30 mm longer, 5 mm higher and 35 mm wider than the current Yamaha FZS-Fi. However, the wheelbase will remain 1,330 mm. The Yamaha FZ-X may add a premium of around Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 over the price of the FZS-FI. Let us know that the ex-showroom price of FZS-FI starts at Rs 1.08 Lakh.
