Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 Plot: What is it about?
So far as the plot of Star Trek:’ Discovery’ is concerned, it must be said that the show has taken a fresh approach, boldly’Star Trek’ series has gone. While earlier’Star Trek’ show all had standalone episodes exploring particular incidents and/or missions,’ Star Trek: Discovery’ abandoned that approach and gave audiences a cohesive narrative arc. Further, while before’Star Trek’ series needed a flavor to it, favoring diplomacy, cultural trade, and investigation,’ Star Trek:’ Discovery’ sets a heavy spin to it.
The show is set a decade before the events of the first’Star Trek’ series, also follows the crew of the USS Discovery amid an ongoing war between the United Federation of Planets (UFP) and the Klingon Empire, consisting of united Klingon homes. Of course, being set in the middle of a war, the series is far from floral. The Captain of the USS Discovery is portrayed as a guy and he’s willing to go to ensure victory. This itself gives the display a spin, as personalities aboard the USS Discovery, including the protagonist Burnham, are pushed into regions, and have to make decisions that come back to haunt them.
What’s more, the battles don’t end there that the emotionally taxing and stressful feeling of warfare frequently sees conflicts discriminate between the crew members of the USS Discovery, thereby permitting the series to explore the emotional depths of personalities and inter-character relationships, instead of focusing simply on the action. This new strategy makes them relatable to audiences and brings an unprecedented depth, and the show’s emotional element makes for a fresh take on a classic franchise.
It, therefore, does not come as a surprise that’Star Trek:’ Discovery’ has found favor one of television critics Season 1 of the series enjoys a good score of 82% on Rotten Tomatoes, and Season 2 fares much better, with a score of 84%.
