Kung Fu Panda’s dear franchise is becoming a new addition.
Po and his friends are set to come back in another movie. The movie, released in 2016, showed us the village of pandas and a reunion of Po.
Since the release of the last movie, the franchise has been dormant in November 2018 with an addition of a TV series.
But CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, of Dreamworks, confirmed in a meeting that there would be for the sequence. The CEO further revealed that there are supposed to be six movie in the franchise, in total. So the fans can look forward to two videos apart from all around the years.
Release Date
The releases of the previous movie in the series don’t follow a pattern. Kung Fu Panda was released in 2008. Observing this, Kung Fu Panda two premiered in 2011. Both the movies were popular with the masses. Kung Fu Panda 3, premiered in 2016. Rumors were floating about the fourth movie was supposed to be released in 2018, but alas no such luck.
As such, there’s no release date for its fourth installment of the movie as of yet.

Since the movie is confirmed, the core cast is expected to return too. The following actors will voice the main characters:

Angelina Jolie as Tigress
Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu
Seth Rogen as Mantis
Lucy Liu as Viper
Jackie Chan as Monkey
David Cross as Crane
James Hoang as Mr. Ping
There will be additions depending upon the storyline of the movie.
Co-Directors Jennifer Yuh Nelson and Alessandro Carloni will also probably return to direct the films.
