Franz Tost is in hope and confidence that F1’s plan for ghost races to take place in July is going to be a success. Though there are very many reasons to restart such races among the Corona crisis surrounding us, this is a very need of the needle. Other similar plans to refer are the plans of British PM Boris Johnson. He announces that all international travelers will need to quarantine for a full two weeks. Though there are pretty many discussions going over to exceptions for the sports event. Along with this, there may be another problem. This is the insurance of the drivers. According to talk with Europe’s top virologists three people, the rules are very much strict and necessary about the quarantine. But, they also expect the races as quite important as well.
There is also news that if drivers taking part in the races are to violate any such rules that disrupt quarantine, they would be in trouble. Not only their insurances will be deemed void under privacy terms of the insurance companies, but also, they won’t be legally be taking part in the races. Also, Alpha Tauri boss Tost, however, is very sure that they are going to Spielberg. And he is ready to bet a bottle of wine on it. The plan is to go for the back-to-back races to be held at the Red Bull Ring in July. And after Austria, F1 might intend to go and host another similar back to back series at Silverstone.
We also got a piece of news from a senior government agency person that everyone in the team is on a positive note and in favor of it. If they find everything fine, safe, and successful, they might even carry on with it. Alex Wurz, who is the president of the Grand Prix Drivers’ Association, after a conference with F1 authorities involving Sebastian Vettel, said that the drivers are in support of the sport’s plan.
According to Wurz, F1 is dependent on the policies of various countries and all that falls under their decision are properly processed.
