Spider-Man 3 has experienced a more demanding development than you’d have anticipated after Spider-Man: Far From Home turned into a huge hit.
Initially, it appeared like Tom Holland’s MCU stint was as Sony and Disney failed to achieve a new deal, but that door was shut for a very short interval and Spidey was again back at the MCU.
As it’s been around Homecoming and Far From Home, Marvel Studios and Sony have been co-producing that the currently-untitled third Spider-Man movie.
But that wasn’t the conclusion of the behind-the-scenes challenges because of the current worldwide scenario, so what is happening with Spider-Man 3 right now and when can we expect to observe the web-slinger back?
Release Date
Spider-Man 3 was originally set for release on July 16, 2021 as part of this much-anticipated Stage 4 of the MCU.
This entire Stage has had a reshuffle though as a result of Black Widow being postponed to November 2020, therefore now Spider-Man 3 is set to swing into UK and US cinemas on November 5, 2021.
Cast
That’s about all we know so far for confirmed yields, but we can guess other potential comebacks.
He seemed to be wounded at the end of Far From Home, but given his trickster manners, we can not guarantee that he is dead.
JK Simmons will hopefully return as J Jonah Jameson then brilliant mid-credits scene at Far From Home, after we work out whether it’s the same J Jonah Jameson as in Sam Raimi’s trilogy.
There were rumors that Daredevil could make an appearance in the next movie, but if the character is involved, then Charlie Cox has ruled out reprising his character from the Netflix series.
It appears if we are going to have any type of crossover, then it’d need to become Tom Hardy as Venom and now that Morbius has attracted the MCU and Sony’s Spider-Man universe together, all bets are off.
It’s pure speculation for now since it’s difficult to envision Hardy’s take on Venom fitting with the tone of this MCU, but who knows.
Storyline
There is not anything official that has been shown about the film’s plot yet, besides Holland asserting that it’s”absolutely insane”.
Far From Home left Peter at a really interesting location as, thanks to Mysterio and J Jonah Jameson, the entire world knows who he is.
Well, that’s if they believe”controversial information site” TheDailyBugle.net.
And what’s more, Spidey has been blamed for Mysterio’s destruction, therefore he is in a small sticky situation — unless Doctor Strange helps out using a forgetting spell.
If Mysterio is still alive however, it does set up the interesting possibility of the Sinister Six being included in the threequel.
