Reeves was then officially announced as the author and director for The Batman in February 2017. In 2019, he cast Robert Pattinson as the newest Bruce Wayne/Batman later it came to the Great Time celebrity and Nicholas Hoult. Before this year, the actor explained his version of the character as”crazy and perverse” in a meeting with the BBC.
“Out of all of the big roles that I knew of that kind of kingdom, there was just something about this one,” Pattinson said of the Bruce Wayne. The star allegedly trained in jiu-jitsu to get ready for the movie.
Pattinson was shortly joined by Zoe Kravitz (Selina Kyle), Jeffrey Wright (Commissioner Gordon), Paul Dano (Edward Nashton/The Riddler), Andy Serkis (Alfred Pennyworth), John Turturro (Carmine Falcone) and Colin Farrell (The Penguin). The Batman Movie Plot
Warner Bros. hasn’t published an official plot synopsis for The Batman. However, previous rumors have suggested that the film will be set in the 1990s, though that remains unconfirmed.
We do understand, however, that The Batman will take place early on in Bruce Wayne’s crime-fighting career. The Hollywood Reporter has already confirmed that Reeves is not adapting Frank Miller’s iconic comic Batman: Year One. But other popular storylines from Batman’s formative vigilante years comprise The Long Halloween, Arkham Origins, and tales in the Legends of the Dark Knight series. The option is that the film tells Gotham being protected by an entirely original narrative about Bruce’s early years.
Reeves told THR his film is”thrilling but also psychological” and will highlight the hero’s investigative skills.
“It is told very squarely on his shoulders, and that I hope it is going to be a narrative that will be exciting but also emotional,” he explained. “It is more Batman in their detective mode than we have seen in the movies. The comics have a background in this. He’s supposed to be the world’s greatest detective, and that is not been of what the films have been part of.
“I would love this to be where when we go on such a journey of tracking down the criminals and trying to resolve a crime, it is likely to allow his character to have an arc he can transform.”
Reeves has also described his take on the character as a”noir Batman movie.” Farrell resisted the narrative has”a very beautiful, dark, moving script, really stunning.”
