After the launch of the Honda Grazia BS6 scooter, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) is now preparing to introduce another new product. Honda has released the teaser video of this new model. Although the company has not yet shared its name and details, but the styling of the bike seen in the teaser shows that it is a 2020 Honda Livo BS6. Some design details of this new Honda motorcycle have also been revealed in the teaser video.
The direct competition in the new Honda Livo will be from Hero MotoCorp’s Splendor iSmart bike, which is priced at Rs 67,100. The updated Honda Livo is expected to be 2-4 thousand rupees more than the old model. The BS4 Livo was priced at Rs 56,664.
Braking and suspension
The digital-analog cluster of the Honda Livo BS6 has also been revised. It is expected to get more information than the current unit. The updated bike will be equipped with front disc brake (optional) with rear drum brake. Suspension setup can be taken from the BS4 model, which has telescopic forks in the front and twin spring shock absorbers in the rear.
Power
The updated Honda Livo will get a 109cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with the current model, which will be BS6 compliant. The power and a torque figure of the updated engine have not yet been revealed. It is expected that it will be equivalent to the BS4 version. In BS4, this engine generates 8bhp power and 9Nm torque. The engine is equipped with a 4-speed gearbox.
