For America’s Got Talent, returning to manufacturing in the midst of a worldwide pandemic means making some major changes and some significant cuts.
Even the NBC reality competition series has declared production before temporarily shutting down coronavirus threat in March on our sister website reports, its 15th season, having just completed six audition episodes.
The first thing viewers will notice is the stunning change of venue. Whereas AGT is traditionally filmed at a lavish Hollywood auditorium, the show is currently relocating to an outside set up in Simi Valley that is designed to resemble a drive-in movie theatre. The judges — Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and newcomer Sofia Vergara — will even sit a suitable distance. (“Wait till you see the vehicles the judges arrive at,” the show’s executive producers tell Deadline.)
This left the dream of making it to a third Olympic Games in Shevon’s tatters, but she knew she had to retire and take care of her husband, despite the fact that this pragmatic conclusion left him broken-hearted. She turned into the curative power of music to aid herself and Jamie in their various healing processes and began writing songs.
After years of overcoming and sacrifice, Shevon recognized that she had a fantasy of showing her singing talents. So she came to AGT to showcase her voice through an original song that she had composed for her husband, known throughout The Poor And The Good’. Her sincere lyrics and impressed the judges, and powerful vocals were soul-stirring and emotive. Shevon also effortlessly reach her notes during the love-soaked piano-driven ballad, and clearly inspired everyone watching.
Howie Mandel said that she had been moving and incredibly wonderful once she was done. Eric also commended her on her singing voice, while Sofia Vergara said that she adored her lyrics. Simon Cowell stated that it was an absolute honor to watch her perform after overcoming hardship and was in awe of her beautiful backstory. He stated that the years of hard work and training would stand in her stead during the contest and also paid tribute to her talent.
Shevon Nieto naturally got four yeses, and she was being praised by fans on media. One viewer said, “I will purchase your album! Beautiful voice narrative, never give up! #AGT@JamieNieto. If you grin and want to be inspired listening to the tribute! This is power.”
The other admirer said, “Shevon great job on that tune, your story is heartbreaking and amazing.” Likewise, there was a happy twist for this couple’s journey, as yet another viewer tweeted, “Shevon just announced that she is pregnant.” Another enthusiast published, “If you choose a relationship with a spouse who accepts and observes you, your spirit will flourish… Be motivated by Shevon and Jamie’s story.”
