With the Bronco shedding the reputation of others, stealing the limelight even before launch, the rivals are trying hard to compete strongly against the unknown Bronco, which is yet to launch. But hours can be counted on fingers now, as the unveiling of the iconic Ford Bronco isn’t far from being unveiled.
But, Jeep is trying to catch up. The Jeep dropped a partial image of what appears to be iconic Wrangler, but with something new. The image shows the number ‘392’ displayed on the side of the intake scoop. The number might refer to the 392 cubic-inch, or 6.4 litres Hemi V8 engine from further afield in the Chrysler model range. With Bronco coming, maybe Jeep will present the Wrangler’s strongest form.

The 392 Hemi V8 model can be paired with either an 8-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission. Like the Jeep Wrangler, the Ford Bronco Jeep is based on a ladder-frame chassis, and both are aimed at regular off-roading users. So with the hypes, Jeep is ready to do, something that was limited to aftermarket builders, finally a V8 powered Wrangler.
Till now, the Trailcat concept boasted a supercharged 6.2 litre Hemi that powered the Charger SRT Hellcat and Challenger SRT Hellcat features. These produced of 707 hp and 880 Nm of torque, and sit above the 6.4 litres Hemi V8 392 in the engine hierarchy. Thus all we can do is wait…
