Daimler will soon be putting up a ton of goods on display at Auto Expo 2020, including the Volocopter flying cab, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S and the 2020 Mercedes GLA in addition to the Mercedes-AMG A 35 Sedan.
Mercedes-AMG A 35 sedan
The Mercedes-AMG A 35 Sedan is going to be the very first Mercedes A-Class Sedan we will see in India. It boasts AMG-specific adjustments air deflector elements on the front and rear bumpers and rear diffuser with fins in the chrome-plated and center round exhaust outlets on each side.
On the inside, also, the Mercedes-AMG A 35 Sedan distinguishes it from the Mercedes A-Class sedan with pieces like AMG-specific screen designs for the MBUX multimedia system, AMG performance seats and steering wheel along with AMG-specific core console with control switches for 3-stage ESP and AMG ride controller.
Powering the Mercedes-AMG A 35 is the smallest engine in the AMG lineup — a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. Coupled to some 7-speed DCT, this motor pumps out torque output of 400 Nm and a maximum energy output of 306 PS. With this setup, the sedan accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S
Taking the market factor of the AMG new is your Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S four-door high-performance coupe. Produced in the ground-up as a version that is Mercedes-AMG, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S is the most powerful four-door model from the business.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S appears competitive with design cues such as vertical slats such as the radiator grille, big air inlets facing and back bumpers, frameless doors, slender LED tail lamps with lively turn signs, dual exhaust vents on each side and multi-stage rear spoiler. This is not your ordinary serene coupe, obviously.
The inside of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S promises a perfectly balanced combination of luxury and sportiness with items like AMG performance seats and steering wheel, Nappa leather upholstery plus a 12.3-inch complete TFT screen screen for instrument console with AMG specific display layouts.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S has been bestowed with a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 gas engine, which can be coupled to some 9-speed automated transmission and pumps out 645 PS of power and 900 Nm of torque. The GT 63 S can go from 0-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 314 km/h.
Other AMG-specific mechanical aspects of the sports saloon include AMG locking differential, AMG air suspension, AMG rear-axle steering, and dynamic AMG engine mounts.
2020 Mercedes GLA
Among those highest-selling versions from Mercedes Benz here, the GLA will come in a new guise to India. The tiniest offering in the organization’s GL line-up of SUVs, the GLA sports all-new outside and interior designs, with significant changes under the hood too now.
On the outside, the 2020 Mercedes GLA comes with a layout, which seeks inspiration. This is evident from its own curvy and bolder than previously looks, the design of this Multibeam LED headlamps, curved front grille, revamped air intakes, squared wheel arches and thinner LED tail lamps.
The inside of this Mercedes GLA now sees the welcoming inclusion of a large rectangular complete TFT display for the infotainment system and instrument console with the latest MBUX controllers, together with the turbine-style round AC vents along with a new dashboard design.
The all-new Mercedes GLA includes a set of turbocharged engines — 1.3-liter gasoline (163 PS/250 Nm), 2.0-liter petrol (224 PS/350 Nm) and 2.0-liter diesel (150 PS/320 Nm). While the 1.3-liter gasoline comes linked to some 7-speed DCT, the other engines are paired with an 8-speed DCT unit.
Volocopter
Showcased in the International Motor Show to the world for the very first time back in September 2017, the Volocopter previews the future of metropolitan mobility by a German startup’Volocopter’, where Daimler has spent for series production. The flying’ air cab’ concept from Daimler can carry two people at a time and is powered by an all-electric powertrain.
The Volocopter uses 18 fixed pitch propellers, all of which are powered by individual electric motors. The motors get their energy from nine separate batteries, which take up to 120 minutes to charge. The taxi consists of a cockpit full of a windshield, in which two individuals, including the pilot, can sit side by side.
Apart from these four models taking the center stage, Daimler is also previewing a few other models like the G 63 and C 43 Coupe, all-new GLE, new GLC, MB-certified C-Class, Mercedes-Maybach along with the all-electric EQC. Daimler will also disclose details of its digital innovations related to the sale of cars in addition to displaying its vehicles.
