We have been hyped after we heard of Lotus ‘ comeback to the automotive scene. Especially because the British marque makes a strong return with an enormous electric car and looks to die for it.
The car launched last summer and we waiting to see it in practice on the track since that time. Our prayer answered in the first official video, in November 2019, when the car made its exciting debut. And now, a couple of months later, another released, showing what we should expect from the vehicle.
The explanation behind this second video’s release is that Lotus has packed the car’s manufacturing facility and is going to finalize the designs for the last modifications that it needs to make. Soon, it planned to start production of the car for customers in summer.
The New Production:
This is now the world’s newest car production facility and it has been deeply satisfying to see it going from the drawing board to reality. It is a testament to the effort of all concerned. It is the Evija’s ultimate sleek and high-tech manufacturing home at our historic Hethel headquarters. The group CEO Phil Popham said in a statement.
The new video shows both inside the plant and on the road glimpses of the vehicle. It’s not much to look at, really, as the whole thing just lasts 50 seconds, but it’s worthwhile to see the wheels on the electric truck turn and send the vehicle into a drift (it’s happening so fast that if you blink you miss it).
Evija’s electric core consists of a 70 kWh lithium-ion battery and four electric motors. That supplies a combined 2,000 PS of power and 1,700 Nm of torque. That’s enough for just three seconds of acceleration and a top speed of more than 200 mph (322 kph).
