The Benelli adds on value with the unique member to its Lion cub – The Leoncino 800.
Leoncino comes with the 754cc parallel-twin motor from the 752S produces 81.6PS and 67Nm in the Leoncino.
The bike is expected to be BS6-compliant. The Leoncino 800 is supposed to make a mark in Indian markets in October 2020. A concept replica of this motorcycle was shown at EICMA the previous year.
This motorcycle accentuates the 17-inch wire-spoke wheels with the tubeless rims. Tyres feature the dual-purpose Pirelli MT60 RS, sized 120/70-ZR17 at the front, and 180/55-ZR17 at the rear.
The Leoncino 800 enhances with the suspension of a fully adjustable 50mm Marzocchi upside-down front fork and a mono-shock, which gets preload and bounce back the adjustability.
The braking system enriches the Brembo monobloc calipers, which features the 320mm twin discs up front while a single 260mm disc performs at the rear. The bike comes with a dual ABS standard.
the Leoncino 800 resembles the smaller Leoncino 500 in its appearance, with its neo scrambler look and oval LED headlight.
The signature lion motif is also present on the front fender with the black trellis frame, the same as the latter mentioned.
The tail section looks sleek and features a long, stepped, single-piece seat. The Leoncino 800 is expected to be with the Euro 5-compliant. It produces 81.6PS and 67Nm.
The increase in power output over the 752S is probably to help offset the increase in weight, which further results in the heavier catalytic converter.
Leoncino 800 is a slightly heavy motorcycle, tipping the scales at 220kgs. The Leoncino requires a ground clearance of 165 mm. The Leoncino also equips the fully digital TFT instrument cluster and a center-stand as standard fitments. The ABS system adds value to this bike.
The fuel tank measures 15 liters capacity, which makes it preferred for the adventures. The 800mm seat height also makes this bike accessible to shorter riders. The bike is expected to release in October 2020. It is expected to have a price ranging around 7- 7.5 lakhs(Delhi Ex-showroom). Admittedly, it competes with the Triumph Street Twin and Ducati Scrambler Icon, which are decided to launch at the same time in the Indian markets.
