Acura teasing its Type S before the 28 May launch

We were already ready for some action on 28 May. When the Acura had promised to launch a new vehicle. But it looks like the company loves to give a slight tease. The foreplay brought some spy shots of the Acura TLX Type S. The shabbily covered vehicle was hard to identify by the source if it wasn’t for its quad exhaust pipes and “Type S” badge on the trunk. The headlights visible from the cover were sharper and the “SH-AWD” confirms the all-wheel-drive configuration.

It was just 2 years ago when the company announced of the Type S and the under the hood, powered a V6 turbocharged engine. On Wednesday, Acura informed us that the V6 they are developing is a new 3.0 liter V6. With this Type S will be the quickest variant. The TLX variant was an entry-level luxury sedan by the Japanese Automakers. A 2.4-liter i-VTEC engine accelerated it to 60km/h in just 1.5 sec which is extremely quick. After the 2018 facelift, Type S has held all eyes on her.

With Type S the company promises that its handling will make it the best sport sedan yet. The redesigned TLX is expected to reach dealerships late this year. It will arrive as a 2021 model. Acura hasn’t confirmed whether the TLX Type S will be available at launch or later on.
