AJ and the Queen is an American comedy-drama TV series that has completed its season 1 so far and the Season has 10 episodes. It was created by RuPaul and Michael Patrick King.
The series AJ and the Queen made its debut on January 10th 2020 and soon in the same year Netflix announced that the series has been canceled. It was first premiered on Netflix and got a rating of 52% from Rotten Tomatoes. AJ and the Queen got moderate reviews from their audiences. AJ and the Queen follow “Ruby Red, a bigger-than-life but down on her luck drag queen who travels across America from club to club in a rundown 1990’s R/V with her unlikely sidekick AJ, a recently orphaned, tough-talking, scrappy 10-year-old stowaway. As these two misfits, one tall, one small, travel from city to city, Ruby’s message of love and acceptance winds up touching people and changing their lives for the better.
The cast of AJ and the Queen Season 2 includes most of the old cast including Michael Leon Wooley as Roberts’s best friends, roommate, and fellow drag queen Louis aka Cocoa Butter, Josh Segarra as Hector, Robert’s too-good-to-be-true boyfriend who Robert discovers is a grafter and Tia Carrere as Lady Danger, Hector’s partner-in-crime.
AJ and the Queen Season 1 showcases the interpersonal tension between the two unlikely companions and also the danger posed by the criminal’s Lady Danger and Hector. Season 1 ends up with a lot of storylines lift in the air. The finale of the previous season suggests that AJ and the Queen Season 2 will be about Robert’s journey to reunite with AJ.
