Alonso sets his mission to make Renault champion again, keeps his age nowhere to affect it.

Next year, when Fernando Alonso makes his return to Formula 1 with Renault, he will be 39. This shall put him into being the oldest driver on the grid. But, when we spoke with this Spaniard, his thinking is free of his age. He cuts down the facts that age will matter to him, and he shall look forward to bring more wins for the French manufacturer.

Fernando Alonso won his first Grand Prix in 2003, with Renaults. And then, he walked with them to guide the cars to the World Championship, one in 2005, and the next in 2006. These are the only titles he held. And now, after 20 years after his first debut in Minardi, he is going for the third stint at the outfit.

On one of his recent interviews over video calls, he sounds smart. He believes the only thing that matters in the race is the stopwatch moving. He never qualified for the races based on his passport or his date of birth. And for the stopwatch, it is hopeful that they are still fast and conquer speed.

He was also joined with Team Principle Cyril Abiteboul. And he went on to say that one of the leading roles of Alonso is to support the Renault Sport Academy and share his extensive experience with the team, along with races in the grid.
