Altered Carbon is a science fiction show premiered on Netflix and the show is based on Richard K. Morgan’s cyberpunk novel. In the future world where human bodies are synonymous and death is no more permanent, a new society was established.
Takeshi Kovacs is the sole surviving soldier of a group of elite interstellar musicians that were defeated in an uprising against the new world order. His mind was imprisoned for centuries and that he receives an opportunity to be set free. Place more than 300 years to the future, Altered Carbon is unarguably a fantasy job.
With the next season getting a favorable response a third year is likely. If we analyze the earlier pattern there was a two-year gap between the first two seasons, if the same is the case this time around we could anticipate Modified Carbon Season 3 is scheduled to launch in December 2021. The teaser, trailer of the second season were released a year after the first year. Hence, it is very likely that we’ll have to wait a year to have a glimpse of this third season. Let us remain optimistic and see what happens!
If the usual norm is followed by resleeving we might see a brand new casting for Takeshi Kovacs. However, the next characters are sure to be part of the cast.
Will Yun Lee as Kovac’s birth sleeve
Chris Conner as Edgar Allan Poe
Renee Elise Goldsberryas as Quellcrist Falconer
Simone Missick as Trepp
Dina Shihabi as Dig 301.
The finale of the second season was rather spectacular. But there are lots of questions left unanswered so the fans can expect a third year. The next season finale saw Kovacs forfeiting his own life to rescue the girl, whom he has adored for centuries. Falconer was the carrier of the ancient entity Elder. Kovacs takes on Elder destroys it also ruined his own body and stack in the procedure. Kovac’s artificial intelligence ally Poe builds a new stack based on his memories at the expense of private damage. Poe will need to reboot and recover from the ordeal.
The final scene of the finale finished with an obvious hint at the re-birth of Kovacs. Anthony Mackie who essayed the role of Kovacs isn’t prepared to say goodbye to the show yet and hopes to bring life to the character. But if the normal norm is followed, we will observe a brand new casting for the use of Takeshi Kovacs.
