Altered Carbon Season 3 : Release Date, Cast, Plot And Trailer

Altered Carbon is an American cyberpunk action television series. The series is loosely based on Richard K. Morgan’s 2002 publication of the same name. Made by Laeta Kalogridis, the series is set in 360 years into the future in a metropolis called Bay City. Also, in this future, an individual’s memories and consciousness can be stored in a device referred to as’stacks’.

The Netflix show debuted in February 2018. And to date, it has released two seasons comprising 18 episodes. The next season premiered on Netflix in February 2020.

Release Date

To date, Netflix hasn’t announced a renewal for its series. Though fans need not worry because Netflix announced the next season only a year before its release. Thus, going by tradition, we can expect a brand new season to be announced sometime next year. Anyway, the present pandemic may cause the approaching season to be delayed further.

Plot

Presently, there’s little to no information concerning the plot of the upcoming season. But we assume that the new season is going to have a brand new iteration of Takeshi Kovacs. The series will also allegedly take on an anthology like strategy going forward. The consequences of double stacking will be delved in. Additionally, Poe’s relationship with Dig will also play a major part in the next season. Viewers will likely get to see more of the elders and their advanced technology. Additionally, season 3 is anticipated to turn outwards and explore the Protectorate and Quell’s revolution.

Cast

Since Netflix hasn’t renewed the series yet, we don’t understand anything about the possible cast list of the approaching season. We also don’t have some word on if Anthony Mackie would reprise his role as Takeshi Kovacs. Although Mackie himself is excited to return to the series. Inspired from the trend, audiences might probably see a new actor portraying the infamous angels. And according to rumors,’Joker’ and Deadpool two’ star Zazie Beetz might play the most recent iteration of Takeshi Kovacs. And, we’re quite convinced that Yun Lee would go back as the’other’ Takeshi. Also, he will be joined by the following cast from the new season

Chris Conner as Edgar Poe
Renée Elise Goldsberry as Quellcrist Falconer
Simone Missick as Trepp
Dina Shihabi as Dig 301… amongst others
Furthermore, rumors imply that there is a chance of Joel Kinnaman coming as Ryker in the next season.

Trailer

With the series not being revived yet, a trailer or promo is out of the equation at this time. Though we assume that fans will have to wait until 2021 for a trailer.
