Aston Martin Debuts The Vantage Roadster With The Fastest Open Roof in the World

Two years after the Vantage Coupe was launched, the Aston Martin Vantage Roadster has now entered the lineup. Yeah, it is fast, pegged at a top speed of 190 mph. According to Aston Martin, the convertible Vintage is also quick, with a time of 0-60 3.7 seconds.

It still has a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 with 503 horsepower mated to an automatic eight-speed transmission. But that just doesn’t matter, is it?

Sure, I’ll confess I’m a sucker for the style of Aston Martin, and it’s been a long time. If I were to cast a vote at the bottom of this post, how many of you would agree with me on that? You know what, let’s do this give us your thoughts on what you think about the looks of the Vantage Roadster in the survey below.

Nevertheless, the 2020 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster also has a sleek roof-folding design over and above the styling.

You would expect the Roadster to be considerably heavier than the coupe but the extra mass is not as bad as you might think.

Nonetheless, it’s still remarkably fast, both with its acceleration and in actually even lowering its roof. Aston Martin says the Z-fold system promises “rapid action” at speeds of up to 31 mph, down in 6.7 seconds and up in 6.8. Even if you’re not one for snobbery on the roof pace. That’s basically helpful if you accidentally wind up pulling your Vantage Roadster into a torrential downpour.

Performance:

Unfortunately, there is no choice here for the manual transmission of seven-speeds, not that anyone would buy it first.

It still has as you would suspect, dedicated drive modes ranging from Sport to Sport+. Specially tuned track modes for the Vantage Roadster. Aston Martin also shares the convertible with the adjustable damping, stability control, automatic torque vectoring. The mechanical rear differential of the coupe.

In the second quarter of this year, the 2020 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster will go on sale.
