Audi announces “Artemis” project for 2024.

Audi has announced an upcoming line-up of new highly efficient electric vehicles. Audi also announced a new team group named “Artemis” to develop the same electric cars and start the sales by 2024.

Audi’s new CEO Markus Duesmann, had a goal, to “develop a pioneering model for Audi quickly and unbureaucratically.”, thus he started this new team group with pure excellence filled.

Duesmann commented on the announcement:

The Volkswagen Group’s brands stand for excellent technologies — and have the potential for much more. With 75 planned electric models by 2029, the current electric initiative at the Volkswagen Group naturally ties up all our capacities. The obvious question was how we could implement additional high-tech benchmarks without jeopardizing the manageability of existing projects, and at the same time utilize new opportunities in the markets.

Artemis is the project that aims to design and produce new technologies, to blend/bring together automation and electric powertrains technologies together.

Alex Hitzinger, an experienced and successful motorsport chief engineer has been made the head of the “Artemis” group.
