Big News From India’s Biggest Automobile Company- TATA To Launch NEXON EV

Coming to the massive news coming from the Indian car manufacturer, Tata Motors is ready to reveal it’s latest and all new concept of Nexon EV which will be released on 19th December 2019 i.e. tomorrow.

This will be the second electric vehicle from the India’s own automobile brand after Tigor EV, which was launched quite back.

This is going to be the first ever electric SUV which will be having Ziptron technology, which ensures the model to charge through a conventional 15A socket and a fast charger as well.

This will allow the owners of the Nexon EV to easily charge the car at home with minimal efforts.

Many car manufacturers present in India are already heading to launch electric vehicles, this model could prove to be beneficial for the brand to rage down the competition, as it’s rival Maruti Suzuki is yet to launch its first electric car on the stage.

According to sources, Tata Motors hasn’t revealed the specific launch date yet, but it is expected to hit the showrooms sometime in early 2020.

Latest sources also confirm that Tata Motors will launch the Nexon EV in multiple phases i.e. in the first phase, it will launch in cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Thane and other cities will be on the second preference.

As per our observations on Tata Nexon EV, the model will almost follow the same design as it’s petrol and diesel variant. However, there would be some distinctive characteristics as well like  fresh-looking LED daytime running lights along with dashing projector headlamps.

The front grille has become slimmer. Also, there would be a new bonnet and front-bumper design, revised fog-lamp clusters.

At the side and rear profile, the car would look similar to the regular Nexon compact SUV. The cabin interiors are also expected to be same as for the regular model.

Tata Motors is expected to offer the Nexon electric SUV with a 300 km range on a single charge, thanks to the Ziptron EV technology that is set to debut with this SUV. It is supposed to be priced at 15 lakhs (ex. showroom price).
