DC Comic’s 2019 Struck Shazam! Won fans over with its refreshing humor and action. It renewed our faith in the DCEU (DC Extended Universe). Nevertheless, the movie didn’t feature which one supervillain everybody waited for. Worry not! Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, is set to play Black Adam, Shazam’s arch-nemesis!
About Black Adam:
Black Adam is just one of DC villains, recurring in Shazam’s storyline. He is a classic example of a villain.
For example, the bolt identical to Shazam’s suit and his black suit reveal that they belong to the world yet are distinct. Black Adam was a previous version of Shazam (subsequently known as Captain Marvel). Into a corrupt antihero, Black Adam evolved from a power-hungry supervillain.
About Dark Adam Movie:
The strategy to introduce Black Adam in a movie was in progress because of 2008. Dwayne Johnson has been associated with the job for a couple of years. Additionally, Black Adam was likely to be introduced in the film Shazam!
However, the creators decided to give Dark Adam his picture and treat it as a spin-off into Shazam! Dwayne Johnson confirmed that he’d be playing Black Adam in an upcoming movie.
Interestingly, Johnson referred to Black Adam as”A rebellious, one of a typical superhero, who will always do what is right for the people” in his post. In contrast, the Character of Black Adam is called an antihero.
Release Date:
Black Adam is scheduled to be published on the 22nd. On the other hand, the shooting of the film has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. DC has not announced any change in the launch date as of yet.
Jaume Collet-Sera is the director of the film. Black Adam will be joining Robert Pattinson-led Batman (June 2021) and James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad (August 2021). The Flash is also likely to join the league of DC superheroes with his very own film.
