For those of you who wondered if the all-new BMW R 18 is heading to India or not. This could cheer you up a little. Dealerships have recently started unofficially taking pre-orders for the 1.8-liter power cruiser from BMW Motorrad.
BMW Motorrad dealerships in India welcome pre-orders for a nominal sum of INR 1 lakh for the newly announced BMW R 18. So, it also said that motorcycle deliveries will begin in October 2020. As for the size, the BMW R 18 estimated to cost between INR 18-20 lakh (ex-showroom).
Some of the BMW R 18’s main features are its twin boxer engine. So, it a large, 1,802 cc air / oil-cooled power plant that produces a maximum power of 91 HP at 4,750 rpm and generates peak torque of 157 Nm at just 3,000 rpm. The six-speed transmission combines with a free shaft drive.
BMW Motorrad also provides some customization possibilities for the new R 18. Different packages are available and have several features. The Standard Package provides, for example, adjustable headlight, hill-start power, reverse assist, while the Pick Package adds an anti-theft warning, heated grips, and lockable fuel filler cover.
There are two trimmings of the new cruiser from BMW Motorrad-the the basic or regular model R 18. And so the First Edition R 18. The latter gets special double pinstriping and additional chrome components. It’s said to be the first R 18 Version that will first find its way to the Indian shores.
BMW Motorrad has announced the introduction of the Indian market of the all-new R 1250 R (Naked Roadster) and R 1250 RT (Sports Tourer). The R 1250 R and the R 1250 RT (Pro) are available as fully-built-up (CBU) units. And so are rated at INR 15.95 lakh * and INR 22.50 lakh*.
The BMW R 1250 R comes with Black Storm Metallic and the Design Premium model with Pollux Metallic matt paint. On the other hand, the R 1250 RT is available in Metallic Option 719 Blueplanet / Choice 719 Sparkling Storm metallic.
