According to Karun Chandok, the former F1 racer from India, Valtteri Bottas is likely to stay at Mercedes beyond 2020. Chandhok, who raced for Lotus and HRT, told that Bottas has the best job in the world – he gets to drive for Mercedes. But at the same time, it’s the worst job in the world because he has the best driver of his generation as his teammate.
Chandok, now working for a British television claims Lewis Hamilton is among the top five drivers ever .he believes to say Bottas and Alex Albon have the worst jobs but when he witnessed Bottas at testing in Barcelona, he was good. This makes him right at the top on the good days of course.
According to Chandok, Valtteri has to figure out how to repeat his best performance. He knows that it might seem easy to say what is good for others, but here, Valtteri lacks those necessary skills. He couldn’t explain what mentally it would take for him to do it. This refers to as his beating idea of Hamilton to the titles. Despite this, Hamilton suits well as a teammate for Bottas and vice versa.
If Mercedes changes him, it might shock a few including himself. This is about the smaller season and to the drivers keeping the same cars this year and the next. thus, there may not be any specific reason to change the drivers. For 2020 F1 tracks, Chandok backs Liberty media with the ghost races with a few spectators and a strictly controlled environment.
